Panerai first prototyped the Radiomir in 1936 and the watch became lauded for its particularly high degree of water-resistance due to its conical screw-down winding crown and screw-down case back. As a part of their Historic Collection, today’s Radiomir is a celebration of a classic timepiece by a compelling manufacturer. This elegant Historic Collection Radiomir is in brand new condition. It possesses a hand-wound mechanical movement and features the Panerai P.3000 caliber, 21 jewels, 21,600 alternations/hour, an Incabloc antishock device, and a three-day power reserve thanks to two barrels connected in series. The brown cushion-shaped case measures 47 mm in diameter and is constructed of Panerai Composite, which is an exclusive synthetic ceramic created through the electrochemical process of ceramization of aluminum. This process delivers a strong, yet lightweight, case. This unique case also has Panerai’s patented removable wire loop strap attachments. Features a screw-down crown personalized with OP, a water resistance to 100 m / 10 atm, a see-through burnished sapphire crystal case back, and a Panerai-personalized leather strap with a large Panerai Composite buckle. Beneath the antireflective sapphire crystal, which is formed of corundum, one encounters a brown, refined dial of quiet simplicity. Radiomir Panerai is engraved beneath 12 o’clock, there is a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, and the Arabic numerals and hour markers are luminous.
