The Datejust appeared in 1945 and was the first time equipped with the DateJust Mechanism, one of the three major inventions of Rolex. This model also has the world's first window calendar to display the window frame. The Datejust mechanism sends a calendar date instantaneously at 0 amm, and is equipped with all Rolex 3 inventions in the Oyster Perpetual Datejust. Ref. 1601 is a Datejust 3rd model that was manufactured from the 1960s to the 1980s. The movement is powered by a master machine Cal.1570. The value of the color dial is increasing nowadays.
